A New Chapter of Hope in Daulatdia
We are thrilled to share that Freedom Rising has taken a major step forward in our mission. We’ve secured and sent the funds to pay the security deposit and begin renovations on a new, larger Safe Home in Daulatdia. This home will provide a safe haven for up to 150 children. Children who will finally be moved out of constant danger and into full-time safety, stability, and love.
This is more than just a building. It represents the chance to completely break the cycle of exploitation in these children’s lives. Here, they will have the opportunity to grow up free, with dignity, and with the tools they need to dream of a brighter future.
But we’re not stopping here. Soon, we will be launching a computer lab at the House of Hope and opening a new Vocational Program to equip children with valuable skills for their futures. These programs are just the beginning as we expand not only within Daulatdia but also into other countries, bringing freedom and restoration to even more lives.

Freedom Rising is proud to announce our partnership with Human Trafficking Now to develop an innovative, interactive database designed to help victims of human trafficking connect with the right support for their unique situations. Whether someone is seeking emergency shelter, legal aid, counseling, or long-term care, this tool will provide a simple, accessible way for victims to find verified organizations that are ready and able to help, both domestically and internationally. Too often, those in desperate need are left sifting through outdated directories or waiting on responses that never come. Our goal is to eliminate those barriers and make it as easy as possible for survivors to break free from the cycle of exploitation and find a path to safety, hope, and healing.
In the month of December, Executive Director, Andrew Sveum will be traveling with an organization that has been combatting human trafficking for over 18 years. It will be his first time visiting one of the countries where they operate, and he is excited to experience their programs firsthand, learn from their remarkable work, and see how we can support each other’s mission. This trip represents a powerful opportunity to build partnerships and make an even bigger impact together in the fight for freedom.
How does this happen?
A community brothel is a large, often government-tolerated red-light district where multiple generations of women live and work in the sex trade. These brothels are not just places of exploitation but entire communities where women, many of whom were trafficked as children, are trapped in cycles of abuse, poverty, and systemic neglect. In places like Daulatdia, Bangladesh, one of the largest brothel districts in the world, thousands of women are forced into sex work, and their children grow up in an environment where exploitation is normalized. Freedom Rising is on a mission to find people willing to pledge just $20 a month to fight human trafficking.
